Background /Aims: Stuttering typically emerges in the preschool years as children are experiencing substantial growth their language and beginning to combine words form short sentences. occurs during process of planning utterances using sounds create A significant percentage stutterers had a history delayed development articulation disorders. This study's purpose was examine differences between who stutter (CWS) child do not (CWNS) on standardized tests IQ, test, articulatory tests.Patients Methods: An analytic cross sectional study conducted two groups subjects. The group consisted 52 (study group) control included (CWNS). Each audio-recorded, which subsequently assessed by (Arabic version stuttering severity index A-SSI) provide information pertinent child's frequency type speech dysfluencies. determined responded cognitive, language, assessment.Results: There decrease receptive, expressive, total scores test within cases; regards there considerable increase SSDs. These receptive/expressive were significantly correlated with overall cases CWS.Conclusion: Findings taken suggest imbalance among components speech-language systems CWS that may contribute difficulties they have establishing usual fluency.
